It prevents DNA replication, transcription, repair, and recombination by inhibiting the enzymes bacterial topoisomerase IV and DNA gyrase.

Adults and children aged 6 and up: 1.5% eye drop:
1-year-old children: The safety and effectiveness of Levofloxacin in children under the age of one year have not been established.
Administration
Interaction
There have been no specific drug interaction studies with levofloxacin eye drops. Systemic administration of certain quinolones, on the other hand, has been shown to increase plasma theophylline concentrations, interfere with caffeine metabolism, and improve the effects of the oral anticoagulant warfarin and its derivatives.
Contraindications
It is not recommended for individuals who have a history of hypersensitivity to Levofloxacin, other quinolones, or any of the medication's components.
Side Effects
Only about 1-3 percent of people experienced side effects such as temporary impaired vision, fever, foreign body sensation, headache, transient ocular burning, ocular pain or discomfort, pharyngitis, and photophobia. Less than 1% of patients experienced allergic reactions, lid edema, ocular dryness, or ocular irritation.
Pregnancy & Lactation
Pregnancy Type C. Only if the possible benefit outweighs the potential danger to the fetus should levofloxacin be taken during pregnancy. Levofloxacin levels in human milk have not been determined. When administering Levofloxacin eye drops to a nursing mother, extreme caution should be used.
Precautions & Warnings
Long-term usage may result in the overgrowth of non-susceptible organisms, such as fungi. If superinfection arises, stop using the product and seek alternate treatment.
Storage Conditions
Keep eye drops away from light, in a cold (15°-25° C) and dry area, and out of the reach of children.
